Fine Arts

Westglades Middle School’s Fine Arts program is recognized for its exceptional breadth, quality, and student achievement.

Our drama students consistently impress, competing in regional festivals and delivering captivating stage productions that showcase their talent and creativity.

Our music program continues to thrive, providing students with opportunities to perform at the highest levels. Year after year, our band and orchestra earn Superior ratings at the Music Performance Assessment (MPA). In addition, Westglades students are regularly selected for prestigious ensembles, including All County Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, and even All State Orchestra.

Our visual arts program is truly one of a kind. Beginning with foundational courses that teach techniques across multiple mediums, students progress to accelerated programs in their second and third years, fostering advanced artistic skills and creativity.

We also offer an outstanding Creative Writing program, where students participate in Poetry Slams and submit work to district, state, and national competition earning numerous accolades for their originality and voice.
