Dear Westglades Middle School Community:

Welcome to what will be an amazing school year!
Westglades Middle School is excited to have all our
students back and welcomes our new students for
the 2026-2027 school year. Westglades is once
again a top-rated school! Westglades had some of
the highest percentages of students proficient in
reading, science, math, Civics, Algebra, Geometry,
and biology in Broward County!

The success on standardized tests have been consistent, and we commend our students, staff, and parents for their hard work and dedication to accomplish this once again. Year after year Westglades proves it is one of the top-rated middle schools in the district!

The success of Westglades has a lot to do with its highly qualified staff, amazing students, and the amazing support from the community. We believe through collaboration with our parents, teachers, and community, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives of our children. That is why we strongly encourage our parents to stay connected through our social media platforms, and we invite you to come to our School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings. We look forward to partnering with you this year and assisting you in making your child’s middle school journey a success!

Dear Westglades Middle School Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and achievement with our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families.

This year is especially meaningful as Westglades Middle School celebrates 25 years of excellence in education. For a quarter century, our school has been a place where students are challenged to excel, encouraged to discover their passions, and empowered to become confident leaders. As we honor this important milestone, we also look forward to building upon the strong traditions and accomplishments that have made Westglades such a remarkable school community.

As the Assistant Principal for 8th Grade, I am honored to support our students during this pivotal year of preparation for high school and future success. Eighth grade is a time of tremendous growth, increased responsibility, and exciting opportunities. Our goal is to ensure that every student feels supported, valued, and inspired to reach their fullest potential both academically and personally.

At Westglades, we recognize that student success is built through a strong partnership among families, educators, and the community. Open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect allow us to create meaningful educational experiences that help students thrive. I encourage all families to stay actively engaged throughout the school year, and I look forward to working together to support our students every step of the way.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, let us embrace the opportunities ahead, honor the legacy of those who helped shape our school, and continue striving for excellence in everything we do. Welcome,

On behalf of our staff, I am happy to welcome you to our school! We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience

2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college

Please join our school volunteer program. Our students will benefit from your involvement with our school.
