Welcome to what promises to be an extraordinary school year! We at Westglades are absolutely thrilled to welcome back all our returning students and extend a warm embrace to all new students joining our family for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Westglades continues to shine as a beacon of academic excellence! Last year, our students achieved remarkable proficiency levels across all subjects, including Reading, Science, Math, Civics, Algebra, Geometry, and Biology, setting a new standard within the Broward County. This consistent success on standardized tests is a testament to the incredible dedication and hard work of our students, the unwavering commitment of our staff, and the invaluable support from our parents. Year after year, Westglades proudly demonstrates its position as a leading educational institution in the district!

The sustained success of Westglades is deeply rooted in the synergy of our highly qualified and passionate staff, our wonderfully talented students, and the profound support we receive from our community. We firmly believe that through collaborative efforts with our parents, teachers, and community members, we can collectively make an immense and positive difference in the lives of our children. This is why we wholeheartedly encourage all parents to remain actively connected through our social media platforms, and we cordially invite you to participate in our School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings. Dear Westglades Middle School Families and Community,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new 8th grade Assistant Principal of Westglades Middle School for the 2025–2026 school year. I am truly honored to join this exceptional school community and look forward to serving our students, staff, and families in this important leadership role.

With a deep passion for education and a love for students, teaching, and learning, I am committed to fostering an environment where every child feels supported, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential. At the heart of my work is the belief that strong relationships and open communication are key to student success.

I believe in the power of partnership and collaboration. I welcome and encourage meetings with parents, guardians, and community officials, and I maintain an open-door policy to ensure that everyone feels heard and valued. Working together, we can build on the strong traditions of Westglades Middle School and continue to cultivate a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Welcome,

On behalf of our staff, I am happy to welcome you to our school! We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience

2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college

Please join our school volunteer program. Our students will benefit from your involvement with our school.
